Coyote Robotics: Competition Season Highlights/BLOG

November 15, 2025 (11/15/2025) Meet 1

In this competition, Steven was on fire driving the robot, it didn’t malfunction once, and our team walked away with the win! We recently competed at an FTC event, facing many robots from across the region, including many teams we faced from the last meet. Here’s a look at our journey this season.

This was FTC Meet 1, on 11/15/25, at Da Vinci Schools. We had won all 6 of our matches, with 24 qualification matches total, achieving 1st place!

One thing that went well is that in this competition is our Autonomous, since it rarely never missed and allowed for quick, easy points at the start of the round. The day before, our team had been testing our Autonomous over and over and over again until we had finally perfected it. Our team had worked together flawlessly—which was one way our team improved. Before, our team wasn’t super organized, but after this competition, everyone in our team had worked proud and hard. One challenge is that our robot was really slow; and could only hold 2 balls, which significantly slowed down the scoring process and made it harder to win matches. We overcame that by adjusting to the opponents playstyle, such as defending and blocking their shooter, and by grabbing balls from the human player, (which allowed for consistent and efficient scoring.) That's it for this competition, if you wanna stay up to date, make sure to follow our team Instagram, @coyoteftc_30110.

Our prior event, (Meet 0), we landed in 6th place. This happened since we did not have a sufficient amount of time, so our Autonomous was not completely finished, and caused us to lose a few qualification matches.
